It is not necessary to freeze the product. Hermetically sealed and kept at room temperature, maple syrup can be stored for several months. As soon as it is opened, it must be kept in the refrigerator, in an airtight container. It will then keep for between 3 and 6 months.
Keep cones frozen until consumption. Take them out a few minutes before consumption to allow the taffy and maple butter to soften. To prevent the butter from drying out and the taffy from crystallizing, consume the cones no later than two weeks after purchase.

To consume it, leave the taffy pot for a few minutes on the counter so that it softens to be eaten afterwards. Do you prefer to consume it on the snow? Put the pot in the microwave for a few seconds and pour the taffy on a tightly packed snow.
Put a thin film of water on the taffy before putting it back in the refrigerator and you will delay crystallization.
